Governance
ÚÚJǪ operates under a strong and transparent governance framework that ensures accountability, integrity, and alignment with the long-term vision of the Doig River First Nation.
Our governance model brings together the expertise and leadership of three key groups: the Board of Directors, Advisors, and Management Team, each with distinct but complementary roles that support strategic growth, operational excellence, and community values.
Board of Directors
Provides strategic oversight, sets organizational priorities, and ensures that all initiatives align with the mission, vision, and cultural principles of the Doig River First Nation. The Board is responsible for guiding decision-making that fosters sustainability, innovation, and economic opportunity.
Advisors
Offer specialized knowledge and guidance in areas such as governance, evaluation methodology, and financial oversight. Their insights strengthen organizational resilience and ensure decisions are informed, culturally grounded, and forward-looking.
Management Team
Oversees day-to-day operations and the implementation of strategic plans. The team ensures that projects and partnerships reflect ÚÚJǪ’s values of respect, collaboration, and stewardship while driving progress and remaining accountable to the community.
Together, these groups form the foundation of a governance system built on trust, transparency, and shared purpose, ensuring that ÚÚJǪ continues to grow responsibly while upholding the vision and traditions of the Doig River First Nation.

The Chief and Council represent the shareholder, which is Doig River First Nation. Doig River First Nation is the sole owner and 100% shareholder of ÚÚJǪ. As the elected leadership, they oversee ÚÚJǪ as its full owner and shareholder.
